Reading Me & The Girls post about visiting London sights reminded me to look into an exhibition that I spotted in the newspaper at the Royal Academy of Arts – Leather Forever.

To celebrate the 175th year of Hermès, a major exhibition will explore Hermès history from its original roots in harness-making and later saddle-making to creators of its iconic handbags. Items from Hermès’s past, commissions from the Duke of Windsor for his Duchess and some of its latest creations will be on display alongside craftspeople from the Hermès workshop in Paris demonstrating the art of working with leather.

Hermès Leather Forever is on from 8 to 27 May at the Royal Academy of Arts (6 Burlington Gardens). Admission is free.
