When the weather is wet and miserable why not head out to Art4Fun in West Hampstead. It’s open to all ages from babies to grandparents. I first went there when Mellow was 6 weeks old and I did his first foot print on a plate for The Brain’s first Father’s Day. I went again when he was a toddler and Jed was a baby; they both had fun.

No artistic skills necessary. They have little shaped sponges to help the younger ones, and you can choose to paint ceramics such as plates, bowls, vases or mugs; wood, glass, t-shirts or even a mosaic. Art4Fun charges a fixed fee per person and then for each item you paint. You can stay as long as you like and use as much paint you want. Once you’re done,  the staff will glaze and fire your work of art for you to collect in a few days time.

It’s open 7 days a week and booking is recommended. Go try it this weekend, your children will love it.
